Remove or Extend Time Bar for Allegations Relating to Abuse and Other Violations of the Code of Ethical Conduct

As modified under Article 10.3 of the bylaws, the time bar does not apply to sexual abuse allegations or any complaint brought by USA Gymnastics against a member, the time bar language was updated to remove the time bar from sexual misconduct.

10.3 Time Bar.
Unless the Complaint is filed by the Corporation or involves allegations which are of the type described in one of the Special Categories of Misconduct and/or involve alleged sexual misconduct as defined in the SafeSport Code, a Complaint must be submitted within one (1) year of the occurrence of the alleged incident, violation, grievance, denial or threat to deny. In the event that the Complainant was a minor at the time of the occurrence of the alleged incident, violation, grievance, denial or threat to deny, the Complaint must be submitted within one (1) year following the minor’s eighteenth (18th) birthday.
